I'm sure that when I asked you to inhale, most of your chests or shoulders rose. This is natural for an ordinary person, but breathing while singing is so wrong. And here's why: when we raise our shoulders while inhaling, air fills the top of our lungs.
Look at the picture, the lungs are triangular in shape, they are much narrower at the top than at the bottom. This means that the amount of air that you took into the upper part is less.

I want to tell you about another similar method that I once discovered myself (I don’t pretend to be an innovation). In this case, it is associated with the horizontal bar and the installation of diaphragmatic breathing (or otherwise support). Allows you to feel what it is and understand how to achieve it without a horizontal bar. It is like a beacon that will show you the way to achieve powerful support.
A small note that this method is not

At first, you will spend a lot of air turning on the support (this will make you feel dizzy and numb, hello, holotropic breathing). This is due to the fact that you are not setting the sound correctly enough. This will improve with proper training.
When you feel the air support and powerful sound, you can sing like this a couple more times. The main thing is to consolidate the sensation in the body. You need to understand how your stomach, diaphragm, ligaments, larynx and mouth make this sound. Or rather, in what state/position they allow this to be achieved.
Having explored this moment, you can jump off the horizontal bar and try to repeat this feeling on the ground. By repeating this several times, it will be easier for you to turn on the support in the future.

And then it dawned on me that the ligaments are the same muscles and they can be trained, you just need to find the right exercise. And thoughts like these prompted me to do push-ups on the floor. And I started doing push-ups, began experimenting with hand placement, tempo, head position and breathing.
After some time, I realized the position of the head is extremely important, only by stretching your neck, with your face directed forward and not staring at the floor, you can use the muscles of the neck and head.
Then experiments with breathing began, and one contradictory and key point was revealed, which turns push-ups from just a physical exercise into a training of the apparatus. This is breathing in reverse! . everywhere it is recommended to inhale when lowering the body and exhale when rising.
I did it differently: I exhaled when lowering my body and inhaled air when rising. Naturally, breathing passed through the nose and was slow.
