Reviews from doctors about Trittiko
Experts, as a rule, highly evaluate the effectiveness of the drug:
Kurochkina G.I., psychotherapist: “One of the few antidepressants that begins to act from the first days of use. In addition, the medication not only eliminates anxiety, but also helps get rid of insomnia, which often accompanies depressive states. In addition, Trittico is often prescribed to patients with impotence. It is sold at an affordable price and is easy to find in pharmacies across the country. But it is worth considering that the medication is not suitable for all patients and quite often causes drowsiness.”
Karpenko M. O., psychotherapist: “The medicine quickly copes with the symptoms of depression, especially with increased anxiety and insomnia. Quite often used by narcologists during the treatment of chronic alcoholism or benzodiazepine addiction. It is quite well tolerated by the body and rarely causes side effects. However, during the period of getting used to the drug, drowsiness may occur, which quickly passes.”

Trittiko tablets do not have an anticholinergic effect. This means that it can be taken even by older people. The drug does not adversely affect the body in cases of prostatic hypertrophy and closed-angle glaucoma.

- Low blood pressure and impaired coordination of movements.
- Vomiting reflex.
- Epileptic seizures and respiratory arrest.
Most of the above side effects occur due to excessive use of Trittico, that is, an overdose.

Experts' opinion
Trazodone should not be self-prescribed. Although the drug is well tolerated by the body, if the antidepressant medication is selected incorrectly, the symptoms of the disease may worsen. The active substance locally affects the psychosomatic functions of a person.
The drug Trittico helps with mild forms of depressive disorder. The medication is also prescribed for the treatment of erectile dysfunction in men. However, you should not take pills without a specialist’s testimony. The effectiveness of Trittico depends on the correctly prescribed dosage, which may differ from the instructions for use.
Reviews from men about Trittiko are different. Some are completely satisfied with the effect of this drug. They say that after taking it, libido increased and the quality of sex improved. These people note that the drug improves mood, improves sleep, calms, and relieves hangover. The drug "Trittiko" has proven itself well for impotence. Reviews note that the result is visible after a few days of taking the tablets.
In addition to the effectiveness of the drug, side effects were constantly felt. Patients were concerned about nausea, vomiting, and drowsiness. Many people felt tremors in their limbs, confusion of thoughts, headaches, and stiffness of movement. There are people for whom this drug not only did not help, but also caused serious health problems. They do not recommend its use in the treatment of depression and believe that there are safer remedies.
Instructions for use
To avoid side effects of Trittico tablets, the correct dosage must be observed. Usually it is prescribed by a doctor individually, depending on what disease needs to be cured. The attending physician must first conduct a thorough examination of the patient.
Much depends on blood tests. If a person has a deficiency of white blood cells, a large dosage can only worsen his health, since the drug will further reduce the number of white blood cells.
Under no circumstances should you take Trittico on your own. Everything is strictly individual. At the beginning of using this drug, the dosage is usually increased and then reduced. Thus, it is possible to avoid many side effects of taking the medicine.
Features of taking the drug:
- The initial dose for adult patients should not exceed 150 mg per day, twice daily.
- It is advisable to use the tablets before bed, as they may cause severe dizziness.
- If necessary, the doctor will recommend increasing the daily dose by another 50 mg. The maximum daily dose for outpatients should not be more than 450 mg, and for inpatients – 600 mg.
- Elderly people and immunocompromised patients should not take more than 75 mg of the drug per day.
- For mild forms of depression, you can take a prophylactic drug of no more than 150 mg per three days with two-day breaks.
For alcohol dependence, it is recommended to take the drug half an hour before meals or a couple of hours after meals. The minimum dosage is 100 mg once a day. Gradually, the doctor may increase the amount of the drug. The tablet should be consumed whole, without chewing and with plenty of water.

I don’t quite agree with you, colleague, about the preference for monotherapy in modern psychiatry; maybe in Russia this is still the case, but in the world it’s not entirely true. I personally no longer perceive Trittico and Mirtazapine as antidepressants, but rather as anxiolytics and correctors of side effects of other groups of antidepressants, including non-selective MAOIs!
Monotherapy is preferable only in case of induction of complete remission, without any residual symptoms.
I don’t quite agree with you, colleague, about the preference for monotherapy in modern psychiatry; maybe in Russia this is still the case, but in the world it’s not entirely true.
I just have the feeling that in Russia this is not at all the case. Very often I have seen 2 antidepressants prescribed, and, in my opinion, this is almost always unfounded. Abroad, it is customary to first carry out monotherapy, including in high (maximum) doses, which are rarely prescribed in the Russian Federation.
Efficacy of the drug
The main feature of Trittico tablets is that the effect is achieved very quickly - for most people. Fear, irritability, insomnia, and chronic headaches cease to bother the patient. The time spent awake is significantly reduced, and the quality of sleep actually improves.
An excellent effect also manifests itself, if necessary, in stabilizing the patient’s emotional state and improving his mood. The drug is highly effective in treating withdrawal symptoms in people dependent on benzodiazepines. The medicine helps restore male strength.
In 50% of patients, the positive effects of Trittico tablets appear within 2-3 days after regular use of the drug. But 25% see the effect of using the drug only after two weeks.
Some patients experience progress only after four weeks of taking Trittico. In this case, everything is very individual.

Antidepressant Trittico - review
And so, I took Trittico 150 mg for half a year. The psychotherapist prescribed me along with other medications (I previously wrote about Eglonil. Cipralex).
My symptoms: it started with trembling all over my body, a constant feeling of cold, severe anxiety, fear, panic attacks and loss of sleep. Then severe nausea and vomiting appeared. One of the drugs for my treatment was Trittico.
What dose did I take: first 1/6, for about 2 weeks, then switched to 1/3. The tablets are very convenient to divide. I finished the course with 1/6.
What time of day: I took it only at night (I know that some doctors prescribe it in the morning).
Treatment: Trittiko's main goal is to get me back to sleep and stop panic attacks. I remember how I couldn’t sleep, I wanted to sleep, but I couldn’t, I was afraid of the night! I didn’t sleep, and in the morning I went to work with fear like a dog. With Trittico, sleep returned immediately, since this medicine is a strong sleeping pill. Trittico began to work from the first day. The panic attacks also disappeared and did not return.
Side effects: At first, in the first evenings, the medicine simply knocked me off my feet. I took it at 9 pm and by 9.15 I already really wanted to sleep, even sitting. But then I got used to it, took it at 9 pm and went to bed at 11.
Then, as side effects, I can note a headache in the morning and lethargy. It was hard to get up and wake up refreshed.
Another effect was nasal congestion. Then all these side effects went away.
Withdrawal syndrome: there is such a thing when you stop taking these pills. But thank God I didn’t have anything bad. For the first three days I was just sad, I wasn’t in the mood, but I don’t know whether it was because of the withdrawal, or whether it was a coincidence. In any case, everything is fine. It's been almost a month since I stopped taking Trittico, and I'm glad that everything is fine. Good sleep, I'm healthy))))
There was no addictive effect.
