Clinic of neuroses in Moscow - treatment of neuroses in the psychotherapeutic center Dar

Treatment of patients with neuroses in a private clinic in Moscow. Highly qualified specialists provide complex therapy. Treatment is provided under conditions of complete confidentiality. Neurosis is a protracted functional disorder of the nervous system. It develops most often due to psychological trauma or prolonged physical or psycho-emotional stress. Patients come to the clinic for treatment for neuroses and nervous disorders with the following forms of the disease: depressive (decreased mood, inhibition of brain activity), hysterical (demonstrative behavior with emotional instability), asthenic (apathy, increased fatigue, mood swings), anxious (phobias, panic attacks, fears), bulimic (uncontrollable appetite). Treatment of patients with neuroses is necessary, since without proper medical care the life of a person and his loved ones turns into a test of strength. The disease has somatic symptoms: dizziness, headache, pain in the heart, indigestion, abdominal pain, loss of consciousness, hand tremors, decreased libido, excessive fatigue. Mental symptoms: irritability, inconsistency, self-doubt, painful reaction to comments from others. This condition negatively affects all areas of the patient’s life. He has difficulties in his family and at work.

Treatment for neuroses and nervous disorders in the clinic begins with an examination by a neurologist. The doctor examines the patient, examines him, interviews him, and, if necessary, prescribes additional tests (CT, MRI, EEG, electroneuromyography, ECT, ultrasound, ultrasound, laboratory diagnostics). Tests are prescribed according to indications. Psychiatric counseling and pathopsychological examination help assess a person's mental status. To prescribe effective treatment for patients with neuroses, careful diagnosis is important, since the disease often manifests itself with symptoms that are characteristic of other diseases. Laboratory test results alone are not sufficient to make a diagnosis. Therefore, a comprehensive diagnosis of health status is carried out, including an interview and color testing, which helps determine the type of disease. The clinic uses an integrated approach to treating patients with neuroses: drug therapy and psychotherapy. In the hospital, the patient receives full support at all stages of treatment: from relief of acute conditions to rehabilitation and resocialization.

During treatment for neuroses and nervous disorders, drugs with a tonic, restorative effect, sedatives to normalize sleep, drugs to improve brain function, adaptogens, antidepressants, antipsychotics, tranquilizers (if the condition is serious) are used. The psychotherapist selects medications strictly according to indications, taking into account the state of health and chronic diseases. During the treatment of patients with neuroses, their relatives also receive support from psychologists. Doctors tell them about the patient’s condition, teach them how to communicate with him correctly, how to achieve harmony and mutual understanding in the family in order to help the patient enter into stable remission. Treatment for neuroses and nervous disorders is carried out according to modern protocols for the treatment of mental disorders accepted throughout the world. We offer short hospitalizations for thorough diagnosis and complex therapy, followed by outpatient treatment. Doctors provide support to patients and help with rehabilitation and socialization.

Neurosis: symptoms

In general, a conflict is like a nuclear explosion in a confined space. The person is outside and does not see the explosion itself. He only feels resonance. The echoes of the explosion are symptoms of neurosis. In other words, a person sees only the clinical signs of the disease, but does not understand the cause.

How can neuroses manifest themselves physically?

Neurosis is a disorder of higher nervous activity. Therefore, the symptoms of the disease primarily affect consciousness and mental activity.

On the other hand, the nervous system controls the entire body, the work of all internal organs and functional systems. Therefore, its disorder inevitably leads to functional dysfunctions, pain syndromes, motor and sensory disorders.

Thus, the symptoms of neurosis are divided into two large groups - mental and somatic.

Both treatment and diagnosis must be entrusted to a professional. Symptoms include:

  • indecision;
  • cynicism;
  • problems with communication and self-esteem;
  • presence of anxiety;
  • contradictions in life goals, desires, preferences;
  • mood instability;
  • aggressiveness;
  • vulnerability, touchiness;
  • sensitivity to sounds, temperature changes, light;
  • sleep disorder;
  • chronic fatigue, fatigue;
  • various symptoms of physical pain: headache, heart, abdominal pain.

Clinical symptoms of neurosis are determined by the individual characteristics of the patient’s character and temperament.

Effective care for patients with neuroses in a private clinic

The help of a psychotherapist for neurosis is necessary. Without treatment, the person continues to experience unpleasant symptoms. People suffering from neurosis often turn to doctors about somatic symptoms, thinking that headaches, problems with the gastrointestinal tract or cardiovascular system are the root cause of their unsatisfactory condition. They spend time and money treating the symptoms, but the cause remains, so they don’t feel better. Private psychiatric care allows the patient to understand that bodily symptoms indicate functional disorders of the nervous system. If you focus your efforts on restoring your psyche, your physical condition will change for the better. Many people do not seek professional help from a psychotherapist for neurosis immediately, but after some time, when treatment of the physical manifestations of the disease has not been successful. In a private clinic, an integrated approach is applied to everyone: a thorough diagnosis of the physical and mental state of health in order to find the root cause of poor health.

Private psychiatric care involves prescribing therapy by specialists after making a diagnosis based on examination, conversation and instrumental studies. Comprehensive therapy includes a carefully selected medicinal complex of drugs that help cope with depressive thoughts, panic attacks, and low mood. The clinic provides assistance from a psychotherapist for neurosis using the best methods of individual and group psychotherapy. The mode of inpatient observation of the patient allows you to monitor the characteristics of the course of the disease and the response to therapy. In a clinical setting, a doctor can eliminate the side effects of prescribed medications by reducing the dose or selecting other medications. Private psychiatric care is complemented by physiotherapy, exercise therapy and massage. Moderate physical activity has a beneficial effect on health. Gradually, somatic symptoms decrease and the person experiences relief. Physiotherapeutic techniques work with the bodily manifestations of the disease that the patient complains about. Massage helps relax the nervous system and improves blood circulation. Therapeutic exercise keeps muscles toned.

The help of a psychotherapist with neurosis allows a person to understand himself, resolve his internal conflicts, and get rid of fears and complexes. In individual sessions and in groups, patients learn to cope with stress and replace negative thoughts with positive ones. The doctor helps the patient understand the root cause of his condition and work on it. Private psychiatric care is provided anonymously. No one will know that you are undergoing therapy. The staff treats patients with sensitivity and respect. Complex measures are aimed at treating the nervous system, psyche and improving physical health. In a clinical setting, doctors monitor the patient’s dynamics and response to therapy. Assignments are adjusted if necessary. Professional assistance from a psychotherapist for neurosis is aimed at working through all neurotic attitudes together with the doctor, as well as teaching the patient self-help techniques that he will need after the end of therapy. Doctors help not only cope with acute conditions, but also provide support in cases of prolonged neurosis, when the patient has not sought help for a long time.

The clinic provides rehabilitation and socialization of patients. Practical training in correct behavior in society helps patients cope with stress.

After completing the course of treatment in the clinic, the patient is given recommendations, compliance with which will allow him to finally recover and achieve stable remission. A person feels relief not only at the level of the nervous system, but also sees an improvement in physical condition. If you or a relative is experiencing similar problems, seek professional help. We work for results, find the cause and eliminate it. We want you to enjoy all the colors of life without neurosis.

How to treat neurosis

Neuroses and neurotic conditions do not require treatment of symptoms, but elimination of the cause of the disorder. Therefore, drug therapy alone does not work.

Treatment of neuroses is carried out by a psychotherapist. He selects an individual program and helps to shift the patient’s attention from clinical signs to the causes of the disorder. Together with the patient, the specialist, as it were, builds a staircase leading to the origins of the conflict. The doctor helps to find the cause of internal and external conflict, as well as resolve the problem.

Once these contradictions are resolved, the symptoms disappear. The ability to be active returns, anxiety goes away, life regains its former colors.

We also recommend that patients:

  • It's okay to get enough sleep.
  • Spend time outdoors, relax more.
  • Take a contrast shower and toughen up.
  • Drink medicinal soothing herbs.

Sometimes neuroses are accompanied by depression, bulimia, anorexia, compulsive overeating - in such cases treatment by a psychotherapist is necessary.

If the disorder is mild, you can overcome it on your own. Sometimes all it takes is a change of environment. But contacting a psychotherapist will significantly speed up this process.

We treat psychoses and neuroses confidentially.

Treatment of neuroses involves a whole range of special measures that take into account the functional capabilities of the patient’s body and the condition of its organs. Neurotic diseases cannot be treated with medications alone; psychotherapy is the main remedy.

At the same time, the doctor must have an excellent understanding of the clinical manifestations of neurotic disorders, since the choice of the optimal direction of treatment depends on the symptoms. For example, to treat neurasthenia, a special diet is used, walks in nature, water procedures, massage, a calm environment and psychotherapist sessions are prescribed.

When treating neuroses, the doctor uses sedatives to improve the patient’s mental state as a whole.

The most effective methods of treating neuroses in psychotherapy include methods such as:

  • Psychoanalysis and Gestalt therapy.
  • Personality-oriented psychotherapy.
  • Cognitive behavioral psychotherapy.
  • Body-oriented psychotherapy.

However, even the most qualified doctor will not be able to help a patient if he does not want to be cured. Therefore, it is very important to trust your psychotherapist and prepare for long-term work on yourself.

Treatment of neurosis in Eastern medicine consists of two areas.

The first is restoring the balance of the nervous system, the energy balance of the body, increasing the body’s energy level and eliminating the gaps through which it is irrationally spent, restoring emotional stability, peace of mind, increasing stress resistance, creating a positive attitude, improving mood, treating insomnia, restoring the quality of sleep.

In other words, this part of the treatment means eliminating mental symptoms. .

The fight against the disorder must be comprehensive, because a miracle pill has not yet been invented. The issue of treating neuroses is a priority for psychiatrists, psychotherapists and neurologists.

Only specialists are able to identify and eliminate the real cause of the disorder and choose the right direction of treatment. The main emphasis is on psychotherapy, physiotherapy and herbal medicine, the use of restoratives, water treatments, which are supplemented with psychotropic drugs in severe cases.

Comprehensive treatment of neurosis (neurotic disorders) has been accepted as the standard in the world. It includes the following methods:

  1. Individual psychotherapy is a course of several sessions with a specialist who helps to understand the underlying causes of the disorder.
  2. Drug therapy is prescribed with the consent of the client and if necessary - medications help to quickly cope with the symptoms, but have almost no effect on the cause of the disease.
  3. At the treatment and rehabilitation stage, in order to consolidate the result, patients are prescribed relaxation, massage, physiotherapy, and vitamin therapy.

Complete and final relief from a neurotic disorder occurs only if the patient follows all the recommendations of the attending physician. Active cooperation in psychotherapy for neuroses is necessary for the person to recover as quickly as possible.

It should be borne in mind that there is no universal treatment regimen for neuroses, and it is even more impossible to overcome this condition on your own without the help of a doctor. Self-medication in many cases only leads to intensification and aggravation of symptoms - and this is too high a price for delay.

Therapy for neuroses should ideally be comprehensive, that is, include both psychotherapeutic and medicinal methods, and various therapeutic procedures.

The main measure to prevent neuroses is strengthening physical and psychological health. It’s worth taking time to adjust your work and rest schedule and learn techniques that will help relieve psychophysical stress.

Nervous exhaustion can be caused by a number of factors:

  • difficult life situation;
  • internal personality conflict;
  • unreasonable zeal for work;
  • unwillingness or inability to rest;
  • long-term illness, etc.

In medical practice, nervous disorders are divided into three types:

  • Neurosthenic. Caused by increased fatigue, irritability, and high physical exertion.
  • Hysterical. Neurotic disorders, manifested in seizures, emotional instability, fits of laughter followed by tears.
  • Obsessive-convulsive. It manifests itself in the appearance of frightening and obsessive thoughts that worsen the patient’s well-being.

If a person experiences a number of characteristic symptoms, they should consult a doctor. It can be:

  • A continuous state of irritation, depression and apathy.
  • Poor appetite, unfounded.
  • A constant state of anxiety and fear.
  • Fatigue and lethargy.
  • Violation of autonomic functions and sexual activity.

Sometimes the patient experiences increased heart rate, enuresis, and tremor.

Only in the simplest cases is it possible to treat pathology using simple methods - walks, interesting activities and taking natural herbal medicines. In difficult situations, it is impossible to cope without the help of a specialist.

Outpatient treatment is possible only for mild stages of neurosis. As a rule, in such a state a person does not turn to specialists. All cases are characterized by an acute stage, when only hospitalization is indicated. Under such conditions, a person is isolated from external problems and chronic stressful situations.

In the neurosis department, the patient has the opportunity not only to become healthy again, but also to begin to live an active life, improve its quality and achieve success.

    Folk remedies

    Neurosis is a serious disorder, but you don’t have to let your condition get to the point where only a specialist can help you. At the first signs of fatigue, nervousness or apathy, you should sit down and try to figure out what is causing this.

    Perhaps the problem is related to greater workload at work or family conflicts, then you can take a vacation and go away for a while. You should not resort to alcoholic drinks to relieve stress.

    It’s better to remember the gastronomic method of combating neurosis and lean on fruits, nuts, raisins, and fresh vegetables. Green tea with honey perfectly calms the nervous system.

    In the bustle of the city

    Modern human existence can be safely called anti-natural. In a big city, we rarely hear birdsong, but we constantly hear extraneous artificial noise - cars moving, music from players, working TVs, gadgets turned on, and so on.

    As a result, a person cannot fully rest, while his internal tension continues to accumulate and leads to:

    • depressive conditions;
    • chronic lack of sleep;
    • constant fatigue;
    • weakening of the immune system.

    The basic emotion of every second resident of a metropolis is anxiety, since for the human psyche the load provided by a big city turns out to be excessively large. We are literally surrounded by various kinds of negative information: almost every news carries a negative charge.

    Almost all of us have the not-so-good habit of monitoring the Internet several times a day, checking soap, social networks, and so on, although theoretically we could do without all this just fine.

    At work, we are given extremely difficult tasks, requiring us to practically set records. If we don’t make it in time, we’ll lose our bonus and even our job (which someone else is already eager to take). As a result, you have to be nervous and worried, because losing a job is always stressful, and finding a new one is not so easy.

    One of the conditions for today's employee must be resistance to stress and the ability to quickly respond to new circumstances.

    The crime rate in the country is increasing, and therefore we have to worry about not becoming (or that loved ones do not become) another victim of crime.

    Modern parents also have plenty of psychogenic factors, since they have to worry about their children - about their performance in educational institutions, behavior, health and safety.

    With all this, we are promoting a cult of positivity, when even despite problems and troubles, you cannot tell anyone about them: you need to seem successful, always be in a high mood, smile, be a kind of “Superman”. This only makes the situation worse.

    And we are forced to communicate with those whom we consider not pleasant society, but useful. We no longer favor old friends and acquaintances who have failed to establish themselves in life.

    A person’s mental resources are depleted, and one has to deal with the neuroses of the metropolis. Never relax and control yourself every second - this is beyond the power of any person. Therefore, it is not surprising that some of the city residents have mental problems.

    But a person, even after falling ill, does not immediately admit to himself that his capabilities are limited. Usually everything is attributed to ordinary fatigue and treated with coffee drinks, energy drinks or some kind of stimulant medication. As a result, the situation worsens even more, the neurotic state turns into a serious mental disorder.

    In the modern world there is a strong information load and a fast pace of life. Many people become irritable due to a small stimulus, tense, tired, sleepy. This condition becomes habitual. After this, an exacerbation may occur, requiring long-term treatment. Therefore, if you suspect a mental disorder, you should immediately contact a specialist.

    Independent course of psychocorrection for anxiety neuroses

    Let's assume that it is possible to learn to independently manage your emotional state with anxiety neuroses.
    Let's clarify that the category of anxiety neuroses includes panic disorder, agoraphobia, specific phobias, and generalized anxiety disorder. Let's clarify that the process of managing something is either a skill or a set of skills.

    And let's emphasize that almost any skill can be acquired on your own. Then, if there is a disturbing question, there is one main question:

    What skills do I need to start managing my condition?

    But really, what skills are needed when a person suffers from anxiety neurosis? Considering the fact that neurosis is a psychogenic, functional and reversible disorder, you will need functional means of influencing your neurosis. That is, effective skills influence the mechanisms and/or reasons for the triggering of your neurosis.

    Mechanism No. 1. Harsh perception of what is happening

    Everything here is quite linear. If you are accustomed (precisely accustomed) to reacting to events sharply, emotionally, with anxiety and fuss. If events constantly give you feelings of problems, losses, disasters. If you feel that people in general react to you in a bad and negative way. If you take everyday events to heart. This is what is called rigid perception.

    An example of a relevant skill is dissociation. Dissociation

    – this is the ability to take the position of an outside observer. The ability to look at your symptoms consciously, from the outside.

    This skill is extremely important when there is background anxiety, cyclically occurring anxiety, or when you are actively overthinking yourself with your own thoughts.

    It is also especially useful when it comes to the habit of tracking your sensations with subsequent anxious thoughts about the possible causes and consequences of your sensations. It is with dissociation that the active influence on symptoms begins.

    Mechanism No. 2. Emotional restraint

    .

    This mechanism implies that you actively restrain yourself in relation to the world around you. We are talking about restraint only of emotions. Or the restraint of the combination “my emotions + my opinion.” Or a combination of “my emotions + my opinion + my desires.” At the same time, you can be a completely sociable person, but no one, or almost no one, knows what is happening in your soul.

    An example of a suitable skill is experiencing emotions. The skill of experiencing emotions

    allows you to direct your emotions in the direction you want - be it towards other people or just into the space around you.

    Its main task is to create conditions for emotional release, to destroy the habit of being emotionally restrained.

    This is also a preventive block, and a preventive one for all symptoms of neurosis.

    Mechanism No. 3. Negative thinking.

    The essence of negative thinking is a strategy of associating oneself with what is happening around oneself or within oneself while simultaneously making a negative assessment of oneself or one’s behavior. To put it simply, it is self-criticism, doubt, labeling oneself, trying to look for problems within oneself, negative expectations, screwing oneself up according to a certain scenario, thoughts about one’s own powerlessness, etc.

    An example of a suitable skill is neurotransmitter autotraining. Neurotransmitter autotraining

    is a way to influence your thinking, perception and emotional state using the capabilities of our language.

    This is a skill for managing anxiety, destructive thoughts and your own powerlessness. It underlies effective self-esteem and positive thinking. Relieves anxiety and irritability.

    Adds positive emotions and experiences.

    Mechanism No. 4.
    Violation of boundaries.
    If you were raised to be a caring, respectable and obedient citizen of your country. Then you need to clearly understand that such upbringing with a high degree of probability can contribute to neurosis.

    After all, the predominance of thoughts about others (in comparison with the amount of thoughts about oneself) can easily be a source of powerful internal tension.

    Therefore, if you do not know how to defend your boundaries physically, verbally, emotionally, then you can regularly find yourself in a system of neurotic relationships, which manifest themselves in the form of eternal expectations, demands on your partner, attempts to turn a blind eye to the situation or not think about it at all.

    An example of a suitable skill is emotional shields. Emotional shields

    is a skill of active protective behavior that teaches you to protect yourself and your interests.

    Teaches you to be more direct and specific when it comes to the fact that you have desires for the people around you.

    I especially draw your attention to this block if you clearly understand that your neurosis was born in your immediate social environment.

    The cause of neurosis. The first and only one.

    In essence, neurosis is a fixation on ensuring that one or another of your needs is fulfilled always, everywhere and at the expense of all the people around you. For example, if you fixate on support, then you will look for it always and everywhere.

    You will consult, you will be afraid to make decisions on your own, you will avoid activities with an excess of responsibility on you.

    The same is possible with unfulfilled needs for approval, power, acceptance, attractiveness, attention, understanding, recognition and other needs.

    In this case, there will be only two suitable skills - reflection of needs and strategies for meeting needs.

    .

    That is, these are the skills to recognize your current unfulfilled desires, identify ways to achieve them (set goals), and also find within yourself the resources, opportunities and skills that will allow you to implement your goals throughout life. We can give the following example.

    Let's say you really lack acceptance (usually this manifests itself in the fear of being abandoned, criticized, judged, rejected). The target skills here will be aimed at finding at the expense of whom and how this need can be realized in the environment of one’s social environment.

    These are the most difficult and longest lasting skills. Actually, you will be doing them (in the best sense) all your life. More precisely, you will deal with your desires and needs. The goal of such skills is to set a launching pad for understanding yourself and set specific goals aimed at changing your behavior.

    Tests.

    Before you try to cope with your neurosis on your own, you should take several tests to exclude objective difficulties during your own psychological training. All these tests can be easily found on the Internet.

    A) Beck test for identifying depression

    B) a test for the severity of certain psychological defenses (IZhS test) to diagnose those defenses that may actively interfere with you

    C) a test for coping strategies to diagnose those patterns of behavior that, like psychological defenses, can put a spoke in your wheels.

    Restrictions

    Self-guided courses for managing anxiety neurosis may have exactly 4 limitations.

    Difficulties with motivation

    . Unless you're the world's best self-motivator. If you are just a lazy person. Or you have been suffering from your neurosis for a long time and have already lost faith in yourself.

    This is a real limitation that requires a person who would support you on your path to psychological health (close people, a psychotherapist, or people like you who want to actively overcome neurosis will do).

    Depression

    . Let me clarify. We are talking specifically about the notorious anxiety-depressive syndrome. When, due to the long existence of neurosis, powerlessness is added, then negative thinking, then meaninglessness, and then apathy with despondency. This is no longer just a limitation, it is a real obstacle to full recovery (and this requires a psychotherapist or pharmacology)

    Pronounced intensity of psychological defenses

    . Here we are talking about the fact that many of our psychological defenses contribute to denial, repression, rationalization (etc.) of our psychological problems. That is, you find yourself in a vicious circle.

    The more active your psychological defenses are, the more emotions and experiences get stuck in your psyche, and the higher the intensity of the symptoms of anxiety neurosis. And here it’s definitely important to have outside help from a specialist who can help you deal with them.

    That is why it is worth taking tests to assess your mood, psychological defenses and coping strategies. These tests can tell you how ready you are to cope with the course of correcting your neurosis on your own.

    Lack of information

    . The last limitation on the path of self-correction of anxiety neurosis is the lack of information.

    In a good way, in order to remove neurosis on your own, it is important to study publications (and we are not talking about short articles, but about something the size of a book), which are devoted specifically to the correction of anxiety neuroses, systematize the information, try it on yourself, adjust the methods and methods for yourself and further reduce the severity of your symptoms. And here a lot depends on your availability of time, perseverance, readiness for delayed results and self-organization skills.

    If you want to save yourself time and emotional energy, remember that someone else could already do it for you. For example, this is the course I offer to my clients who would like to take it upon themselves to correct their anxiety neurosis.
